Ileana D’Cruz is a well-known name in the Hindi and Telugu film industries. The beautiful Goan actress started off her career as a model, working in several television advertisements. She also began gaining notice through her photo shoots and ramp walks before entering feature films.

What many don’t know is that Ileana was supposed to debut in 2005 under a Teja directorial. But when things didn’t materialise, she made her debut with the Ram starrer ‘Devadasu’ in 2006. Despite being trained in acting with

, the actress once stated that during the shoot she had felt pressurised and had not wanted to go further. Never-the-less, with the support of her mother she persisted, with the film gaining her a foothold in the industry.

Later, Ileana also featured in Mahesh Babu’s hit film ‘Pokiri’ in 2006. The same year, she would also make her Tamil film debut with ‘Kedi’. It is in 2012 that Ileana would make her Bollywood debut with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer Bollywood movie ‘Barfi’, featuring in the role of that of a narrator and one of the leads. Since then, she has appeared in several Hindi films like ‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’ and ‘Rustom’.

Through her career, Ileana has received many awards and rave reviews for her performances. Her upcoming releases include ‘Raid’ and ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, her last Telugu film remains the 2012 ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’.
