The ace director SS Rajamouli's upcoming film, tentatively titled 'SSMB29,' featuring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles, is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects in Indian cinema. Recently an image for the sets of this globe-trotting adventure has gone viral.

Rajamouli, who is known for the scale and grandeur of his sets, a picture circulating on social media shows a massive set under construction in Hyderabad, resembling the iconic temples and ghats of Varanasi. Fans speculate that this grand arrangement is for 'SSMB29,' as earlier reports suggested that Rajamouli was keen on recreating Kashi for the film. There is no official confirmation about the image being from the movie's set.

Priyanka Chopra, who last appeared in an Indian film with 'The Sky Is Pink,' is making her much-awaited comeback with 'SSMB29.'. Known for her global appeal, Priyanka was reportedly chosen for her international flair for the pan-world story. The actress has already begun preparing for her role, which involves significant action sequences alongside Mahesh Babu.

Apart from Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is also rumored to play a pivotal role in the film. Prithviraj recently hinted at his involvement through a social media post, expressing nervous excitement about working in a non-native language. The film is written by veteran screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad and features music by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani.

The film is expected to be set against the backdrop of the Amazon rainforest and other exotic locations; 'SSMB29' is described as an epic adventure. The film officially launched in January 2025 and is slated to begin shooting in April 2025, with a release planned for 2028.
