Actors Teja Sajja and
Priya Prakash Varrier will be sharing screen space for the first time in the Telugu remake of a Malayalam hit film 'Ishq.' Directed by SS Raju, the Telugu remake is being bankrolled by
NV Prasad
, Paras Jain and Vakada Anjan Kumar under the banner Mega Super Good Films. Titled 'Ishq,' the film is all set to release in theatres on July 30.
The makers shared the news on their official social media handles. They wrote, ''Let's reboot the theatrical experience on a thrilling note! #ISHQ, Not A Love Story Only in CINEMAS from JULY 30, 2021! #ISHQFromJuly30.''
'Ishq' tells the story of a young couple who part ways after they are mentally and physically harassed by two men while on their road trip. The film has a background score and soundtrack by musician Mahati Swara Sagar and cinematography by
Shyam K Naidu. A Vara Prasad was on board as the editor for the project. The original movie featured
Shane Nigam and Ann Sheetal in the lead roles.
Teja Sajja is currently working on the upcoming movie 'Hanu Man.' Directed by Prashanth Varma, the superhero film stars Teja Sajja in the titular role. The film marks their second collaboration after 'Zombie Reddy,' which was a superhit. It marks Prashanth Varma’s fourth directorial venture and is promoted as the first original superhero film in Telugu. K Niranjan Reddy will be bankrolling the project under the banner of
Prime Show Entertainment
. Dasaradhi Shivvendra is the Director of the Cinematography.
