Jr NTR to kickstart 'NTR-Neel' shoot on THIS date: reports

Jr NTR after his successful 2024 hit 'Devara: Part 1', and is currently busy with his Bollywood debut film, 'War 2' co-starring with Hrithik Roshan. Along with this film he is also set to collaborate with Prashanth Neel known for 'KGF' and 'Salaar' for the tentatively titled NTR-Neel also rumoured to be called, 'Dragon'.

As per a Gulte report, Jr NTR is set to begin filming, 'NTR-Neel' on January 17, 2025, in Mangalore, Karnataka. The production team plans to shoot in various international locations, including Sri Lanka, Mexico, and Ukraine, with a goal to complete filming within seven months. The production team aims to wrap up filming within seven months, with Jr NTR reportedly dedicating around 100 days to this project.

The film is expected to be released on January 9, 2026, just a year from now. Director Prashanth Neel has clarified that this project will not be a mythological film but rather a period-action drama. The extensive pre-production process took nearly a year, and the filmmakers have invested significantly in creating massive sets to bring the story to life.

It is specilated to feature strong cast, including Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead and notable actors like Tovino Thomas and Biju Menon in key roles. The music for the film will be composed by Ravi Basrur, who previously worked on the 'KGF' soundtracks.

On the other hand, Prashanth Neel is also working on the sequel of his 2023 blockbuster, 'Salaar Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam'. Additionally, he will be also working on 'KGF 3'.
