Tollywood superstar Jr NTR made his Bollywood debut earlier this year with the pan-India spy thriller 'War 2'. The film is backed by the banner of Aditya Chopra. Now, new updates have come regarding his upcoming project with the production house. Read on to learn more about this right here.

Jr NTR's Bollywood plans on hold

After the success of War 2, fans were thrilled to learn that NTR had signed a multi-film deal with the prestigious Yash Raj Films banner. According to a report by 123Telugu, it is suggested that he will soon be starting a project where he will be the solo lead. However, the latest reports from the industry suggest this project, which many were looking forward to, is now officially on hold.

The report further states that the 'RRR' star himself has decided to postpone the project for now. The actor is presently focused on his Telugu projects, such as Prashanth Neel's rumored to be named 'Dragon' and Koratala Siva's 'Devara 2'. Both movies are highly anticipated, and NTR wants to fully concentrate on their schedules and promotional events without diluting his time with Bollywood films.As of now, it remains an uncertain prospect when NTR will next be in Bollywood.

His calendar suggests that he will likely be busy at least up to mid-2026, if not beyond, leaving little, if any, room to even think about Hindi cinema in the near term. NTR may decide to resume Bollywood in response to how the nation receives 'Dragon' and 'Devara 2'.Speaking of his recent outing with Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani as his co-stars. His character is seen in an intense conflict and features high-octane action sequences with Hrithik Roshan. 'War 2' was released on August 14, 2025, coinciding with Indian Independence Day and as of now, in its day 10 run, it has minted over Rs 215 crore domestically as per Sacnilk. He will be next seen in 'Dragon' and is working with 'KGF' and 'Salaar' director Prashanth Neel. The movie is announced to hit the theatres on June 25, 2026.
