Nag Ashwin's dystopian sci-fi epic, 'Kalki 2898 AD', made a spectacular entry into Indian cinema, garnering one of the highest openings ever. Featuring a star-studded cast including

Disha Patani, the film generated immense buzz. However, the box office collection saw a dip on its second day, indicating a small speedbreaker in its journey ahead.
As per a report by Sacnilk, on its second day, 'Kalki 2898 AD' earned Rs 54 crore in India, a significant drop from its impressive Rs 95 crore opening day collection.
This represents a decrease of over 43%. The film performed particularly well in its Telugu version, with an occupancy rate of 65.02% on Friday, June 28, 2024. Following Telugu, the film saw viewership in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam versions.

Amitabh Bachchan's character, Ashwatthama, vows to protect this unborn child, while Kamal Haasan's Yaskin, known as the "Supreme," seeks to eliminate the child to safeguard his rule. Disha Patani also stars as another bounty hunter.
The saga will continue as the makers leave an opening for part 2.
