Kalyaan Dhev

took to social media on Thursday to share that he has tested

positive

for Covid-19.

The Vijetha actor announced that he’s suffering from mild symptoms and is currently hospitalised. Sharing a note about the same, he wrote, “Yesterday, I tested COVID-19 positive with mild symptoms. Quarantined at the

hospital

. Will soon bounce back stronger. Thank you for all your love!” (sic) During Unlock last year, Kalyaan was one of the first actors to be back on sets and he had shot for his upcoming film

Super Machi

.

After wrapping up the shoot then, he had quarantined himself but had tested negative. Back then he had written, “Had been in self-isolation from the time I started the shoot and had to wait this long. Got a

COVID

test done and just got to know it’s NEGATIVE! Thanks to everyone who had been concerned about me! Feel lucky to have all your love. . .I’d been waiting to get this group hug, missed it big time! Much love to all of you.” (sic) But, it looks like he unfortunately couldn’t avoid it during the second wave.

Kalyaan Dhev reportedly plays a sprinter in his upcoming film directed by Puli Vasu. Further details are awaited.
