‘Kathanam’ on August 9: Anasuya Bharadwaj’s crime-thriller seals its release date

. After shaking her leg for a special number in F2 and portraying a pivotal role in Yatra, the 34-year-old diva turned into a leading lady for her upcoming film ‘

Kathanam

’. The riveting teaser of the

crime-thriller

was released on the occasion of International Women’s Day (Mar 9) and now, with all the post-production formalities wrapped up, the makers have announced the release date of ‘Kathanam’ as August 9.

Showcased in an intense and emotional avatar, Anasuya plays an

assistant director

who gets suspected as the culprit in a murder, as all the proceedings take place according to her penned script for a feature film. She also performed quite a few stunts in the teaser and looked kickass.

Besides the

hot bombshell

, talented actors like Avasarala Srinivas, Dhanraj and Vennela Kishore have essayed pivotal roles in the thriller. While the theatrical trailer is expected to liberate soon, the film will clash with Nagarjuna’s ‘

Manmadhudu 2

’ at the box-office.

Directed by Rajesh Nadendla and jointly produced by B Narendra Reddy & Sarma Chukka, the music of ‘Kathanam’ is composed by Sunil Kashyap.
