Nani was born and raised in Hyderabad and he did his schooling at St.Alphonsa's High school while his intermediate is from Narayana Junior College. And got graduated from Wesley College, Hyderabad. In a few of his early Interviews, he revealed that he worked for a World Satellite radio as a Radio Jockey and hosted a program titled ‘Non-Stop with Nani’, due to his passion for movies, he shifted to assist film director 'Bapu' as an assistant.

Actor Nani worked under director Bapu for various of his movies such as ‘Radha Gopalam’ (2005) as a clap director. He is also said to have worked for films such as 'Allari Bullodu' (2005), 'Astram' (2006), and 'Dhee' (2007).

Yes, as already said he is multi-talented therefore, he was asked to dub for other Industry actors in Telugu such as Dulquer Salmaan in ‘OK Bangaram’, ‘Simba’ in the ‘Lion King’ and was the narrator of several other films such as ‘D for Dopidi’, ‘Amoli’, and ‘Ee Maaya Peremito’.

Natural Star Nani was also a TV Host for a popular Telugu reality show ‘Bigg Boss 2’, Nani continued the success streak of the show after JrNTR hosted the maiden series of the biggest reality show and he is also seen hosting popular people like Sadhguru in one of the Live Chat events in Hyderabad besides hosting Film Award shows such as IIFA Utsavam in 2017 and being a guest on a couple of TV reality shows.

Director Mohan Krishna Indraganti who has put a casting call for new actors noticed Nani and his prowess to pull off his character and zeroed him in as one the leads in his first film ‘Ashta Chamma’. The film was well received by the audience as well as critics. Today he has completed 30+ movies as a lead actor in 15 years. Last year he had Ante Sundaraniki released, This year he has 2 films ‘Dasara’ and ‘Nani30’ scheduled for release.
