Lakshmi Manchu shares cryptic note amid rift between father Mohan Babu and brother Manchu Manoj: 'What are you afraid of losing..'

Fans are concerned about the ongoing rift between Mohan Babu and his son, Manchu Manoj. Amidst the tension in the Manchu family, Manoj’s sister, actress Lakshmi Manchu, who had remained silent on the issue, recently shared a cryptic post on her social media handle.

Lakshmi, who moved to Mumbai from Hyderabad in 2023, shared a thought-provoking note on her X account (formerly known as Twitter), quoting the former Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius. The post read: “What are you afraid of losing, when nothing in the world actually belongs to you.”

She also posted another note on her Instagram stories that said: “ I just don’t want that for myself anymore, is a valid reason to stop anything.”

Lakshmi’s silence regarding the dispute between her father and brother surprised her fans. One social media user reacted to her post, saying: “Share the same quote with your father and brothers, please,” while another commented: “I'm sure you all will come out of this and live happily here on.”

One Instagram user shared: “I don’t know if this is intended towards Manoj or not, but just solve this issue somehow, akka (sister). Whatever the issue is, accept Manoj anna (brother), his wife, and his kids whole-heartedly and resolve everything privately.”



On December 9, Mohan lodged a police complaint against his son Manoj and daughter-in-law Bhuma Mounika, accusing them of assault and attempting to seize his property. Manoj also filed a police complaint, alleging physical assault, though he refrained from naming any family members. A medical report later confirmed his injuries.

The conflict intensified when Manoj was denied entry into Mohan’s house. In an attempt to address the situation, Manoj arrived with members of the press, which led to a confrontation between a reporter and Mohan. Subsequently, Mohan was hospitalised. Manoj's brother, Vishnu Manchu spoke to the media but declined to provide further details about the incident. Manoj claims the issue began after he questioned the management of Mohan Babu University.
