Lakshya’ have unveiled the teaser. Touted to be a sports-drama, the promo introduces the protagonist as Pardhu, a young
archer
who gets disqualified to play the ancient sport due to unknown reasons. He is showcased as a hot-tempered guy during the initial part but manages to make a fitting comeback to archery with a bearded avatar and chiselled physique. While
Ketika Sharma can be seen as his ladylove, Hindi actor Sachin Khedekar is playing the role of his grandfather. The teaser has the voiceover of
Jagapathi Babu and he is essaying the role of a coach in the film.
To fit the bill as an archer, Naga Shaurya underwent a major physical transformation and sweated it out in his private gym during the lockdown. After rigorous workout sessions and strict diet regime on a daily basis, the 32-year-old eventually acquired a chiseled body and flaunted his newly-minted eight-pack abs in the first look poster.
Directed by ‘Subrahmanyapuram’ fame Santhossh Jagarlapudi, Lakshya is bankrolled by Narayana Dass Narang, Sharrath Marar and P Rammohan Rao under Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Northstar Entertainments. While Kaala Bhairava has composed the music, Ram Reddy has handled the camera.
Starring ‘Romantic’ bombshell Ketika Sharma as the leading lady, the film tells the story of an archer who overcomes several obstacles and fights against all odds to finally enjoy his triumph with glory.
