And now Sony Pictures Entertainment and
Mahesh Babu will bring the story of Major Unnikrishnan, who was conferred the Ashok Chakra for his service to the nation, to the big screen! Titled MAJOR, the film will dive deep into the life of the hero whose courage and bravery had taken the nation by storm! The film, which is set to be a bi-lingual and will release in Hindi and Telugu, will see actor
Adivi Sesh, who had previously written and starred in breakout Telugu hits Kshanam and Goodachari, reprise the role of the martyr and will be directed by Shashkiran Tikka.
The film is co-produced by Adivi Entertainment, Sharath Chandra and Anurag Reddy’s A+S Movies.MAJOR marks the foray of Sony Pictures International Productions in India into the Telugu industry as well as Mahesh Babu Productions’ entry into Hindi cinema. Major will go on the floors in the summer of 2019 and hit the theatres in 2020.
