Lucky Lakshman has the kind of story everyone can connect to: Haritha Gogineni

Producer Haritha Gogineni of Dattatreya Media might be a debutant herself. But she’s more excited and nervous for her husband, debutant director AR Abhi, whose film Lucky Lakshman hit screens last Friday.

“The film has a relatable and fun story of how a man believes he’s unlucky in life, only to realise just how wrong he was,” she tells us, adding, “The concept is so easy to connect to because all of us have felt the same at some point in life. It’s also the kind of cinema you can just enjoy with your whole family. It has been getting a good response. ”


After working in real estate, being on set was an eye-opener, says Haritha. “I wanted to know the inside out of filmmaking, so I even worked as a co-director, charting out the schedule to ensure we wrapped up shooting in 26 days. It took me two long years to mentally decide to pursue cinema, but once I did there was no looking back,” she concludes.
