‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ star Samantha Ruth Prabhu reveals entrepreneurship gave confidence and changed her life: 'I have the opportunity to understand real world problems'
Samantha Ruth Prabhu has transitioned from being a great actress to leading her own production house in the business of filmmaking. Not only that, but she is also making her name in expanding her business ventures. Recently, the ‘Maa Itni Bangaram’ star shared about the journey from films to startups and this has changed her life in many ways.
The ‘Kushi’ star revealed that she currently has around 12 startups in her portfolio. She is the co-founder of the menstrual wellness brand Zoy and also runs her own clothing label, Truly SMA. Apart from this, she has invested in several wellness, education, and lifestyle brands. According to her, she prefers businesses that improve the quality of life of people.
Speaking about her production venture, she shared that her upcoming movie ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ is releasing this summer. “My new film, which Tralala Moving Pictures, my own production company, has produced ‘Maa Inti Bangaram' is releasing this summer. It's been a while since I did a Telugu film and had a film release in the theatre,” she said.
Entrepreneurship as a life-changing gift
The newlywed actress shared her take on entrepreneurship, calling it the “greatest gift” she has given to herself, while speaking with Moneycontrol. “It's the greatest gift that I have given myself to actually step out of my comfort zone of being an actor and to be able to work with such amazing people, doing amazing things, improving the quality of life of people around,” she said.The ‘Kushi’ star revealed that she currently has around 12 startups in her portfolio. How business changed her perspective
“As an actor, you have tunnel vision and have very few people around you. You interact with just the people you're filming with and the people that are involved in that film. But as an entrepreneur, investing in over 10 companies, I have the opportunity to understand real world problems, to work in a team, to work in partnerships,” she added.Gaining confidence through building businesses
Samantha Ruth Prabhu also mentioned that launching a business made her more confident and called the process of setting it up from scratch an enjoyable process. “I went from an extremely under confident girl to now going to the other extreme. I want to be the person who bets on herself completely. Today, if I believe in an idea, in a product and a founder, I want to bet on them. I want to bet on my belief in the product and I want to go all the way with it,” she said. She further added that her happiness comes from being part of building things, “I don't think of the end game. I think of the process and I want to enjoy every single day of my life and enjoy the process of building something from scratch. That's where my happiness lies in building things and being part of building things.”end of article
