and will be produced by Gandapu Nageswara Rao under the banner
GNR Creations

will helm the upcoming film.
Close to five years of being in tinsel town, the actor, who received praise for his acting in Sharwanand starrer Express Raja, Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150, Satish Vegesna's Shatamanam Bhavati, Nani's Nenu Local, Rana's Nene Raju Nene Mantri, and Ram Charan starrer Rangasthalam, will now challenge himself as the hero. Mahesh will be seen playing a mechanic in a bicycle shop, and the story of the movie will be revolved around his character.
Debutant Somi Varma
is paired opposite Mahesh in the film.
Sources say Nenu Naa Nagarjuna will be a content-based film with a message. Even though he turns as a hero, he will continue to entertain the audience with humour. Mahesh Achanta established himself as a comedian until he became a hero in RB Gopal's Nenu Naa Nagarjuna. However, the news of Mahesh turning hero has been in the news for quite some time. Eswar Peravali is in charge of composing music, while Nagarjuna Ch has handled the camera and Harish Krishna will edit the film.
