Mahesh Babu and family organized a prayer meet for the late actor superstar Krishna at their residence in Hyderabad on the third day of his passing. In pictures doing the rounds online, a framed photograph of the late actor is seen adorned with flowers.
Ghattamaneni Krishna passed away on November 15, and his last rites were performed at the Maha Prasthanam a day later, amid heavy downpour. The funeral was attended by his family, a few friends from the film industry and politicians. Fans are also mourning his death and called him ‘Legend’. The late actor was very popular among the masses.
The prayer meet was attended by the celebrities like Trivikram Srinivas, Anil Ravipudi, Meher Ramesh, Vamshi Paidipally, and Dil Raju, among others. Jayakrishna, who is staying in America, left as soon as he came to know about the death of his grandfather. But, he reached Hyderabad yesterday midnight. Krishna's last rites have already been completed by the time he reached India. However, he participated in the prayer meet, which was held yesterday. A photo of Jayakrishna paying tribute by placing flowers at his grandfather's photo is currently going viral on social media.
Krishna was one of the most popular and successful stars in the industry. After midnight on Sunday, Krishna had a heart attack, and his younger sister-in-law Namrata admitted him to a private hospital. Krishna, who was treated in the ICU there, breathed his last at 4:09 am on Tuesday.
