The last few days have seen social media flooded with memes and trolls about the Manchu family as
Mohan Babu’s film, Son of India, hit screens.
The family decided to hit back with their PR team issuing a letter to meme pages and YouTube channels, urging them to not only refrain from posting derogatory content in the future but also to delete all the ones posted. The letter also warns the administrators that should they not comply within a reasonable time, a defamation case will be filed against them and compensation of Rs 10 Cr will be sought from each of them. The letter also alleged that few in

have targeted the family unjustly and sprung trolls on them due to the movie tickets issue on-going in
Andhra Pradesh.
Ever since the advance bookings for Son of India opened, trolls took to social media and alleged that the opening day bookings have been weak. Numerous videos also made rounds trolling a recent press interaction with MAA President
Vishnu Manchu
after he met AP CM YS Jagan
Mohan Reddy
, who happens to be his wife
Viranica
’s cousin. The actor had pointed out back then too that his family was being targeted. He had reportedly said, “We enjoy memes when they are funny, the issue is when they turn to derogatory trolling. Two big heroes in the industry have hired a team to target our family. I know who they are but time will tell. Our patience shouldn’t be taken for granted.”
