​‘Manu Charithra’, ‘Malli Pelli’ , ‘Asvins’ and others; Telugu films and web series releasing on June 23

Like every week, there is yet another new week full of Telugu films that range from small-budget films, to big ones, besides having some exciting OTT releases and streaming coming our way. Have a look at the list of new Telugu films and OTT series releasing this week in theatres and on streaming platforms.

​‘Manu Charithra’

Manu Charitra is about a good college student who turns into a thug because of his situation, and when he falls in love, he gets his life back on track before it's too late. The film stars Shiva Kandukuri, Megha Akash, Priya Vadlamani and Harshita Chowdary in the lead roles, while Pragathi Shrivatsav, Suhas Pagolu, and others play other important roles. The film is written and Directed by Bharath Pedagani, and its music and soundtrack were composed by Gopi Sundar. The movie was shot by Rahul Srivastav and edited by Prawin Pudi and it will be released in theatres on June 23rd.

​‘Asvins’

This is a horror and psychological thriller movie released in Telugu and Tamil that revolves around five YouTubers who were selected by a UK-based organisation for a project on Black tourism. What happened to them in the course of exploring the mansion forms the rest of the story. The film stars Vasanth Ravi, Vimala Raman, Saras Menon, Muradharan Subramian, Udaya Deep, and Malina Atul in important roles. The film is directed by Tarun Teja, while its music is composed by Vijay Siddharth, and the film is edited by Venkat Raajen. It will be hitting theatres this Friday.

​‘1920: Horrors of the Heart’ (a Telugu-dubbed Hindi film)

This is a Telugu dubbed Hindi romantic horror film that stars Avika Gor, Rahul Dev, Barkha Bisht, Danish Pandor, Randheer Rai, Ketaki Kulkarni, Amit Behl, and Avtar Gill in the key roles. The film is written by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Krishna Bhatt, with Vikram Bhatt funding the film. Prakash Kutty filmed the movie, while Puneet Dixit composed its music, and Anand Pandit and Mahesh Bhatt are jointly presenting the film to Telugu audiences.

​‘Rudrakshapuram’

The film is said to be based on the cinematic background of young girls who come for movie auditions in Hyderabad, how they were trapped and kidnapped, and what happens to them next, which forms the crux of the story. The film stars Mani Sai Tejas, Vaidurya Mysore, and Rekha Bangalore in important roles, while Naga Mahesh, Shobharaj, Veera Babu, and others play other important roles in the film. RK Gandhi wrote and directed the film, which has its music composed by ML Raja, shot by Nagendra Kumar, and edited by D Malli. The film hits theatres on June 23.

​‘Dhoomam’ – (Telugu dubbed Malayalam film)

‘Dhoomam’ is a Telugu dubbed Malayalam thriller drama film that stars ‘Pushpa 2’ actor Fahadh Faasil in the lead role and is written and directed by Pawan Kumar. The film is coming to Telugu audiences in theatres on June 23.

​‘Malli Pelli’

"Malli Pelli’ is a Telugu romantic drama that talks about multiple marriages and their consequences. The film is about Narendra, the famous movie actor, who hails from a big family and falls in love with Parvathi, his co-star, who is a married woman. What the couple faces next and what complexities they have to pursue will form the rest of the story. The film will stream on the OTT giant beside the local OTT on June 23rd.

​‘Intinti Ramayanam’

‘Intinti Ramayanam’ is a Telugu family comedy-drama that features Rahul Ramakrishna in a prominent role. The film also features Navya Swamy, Naresh, and Surabhi Prabhavati playing other important roles in the film. Suresh Narendla's directorial is shot by PC Mouli, Kalyani Malik composed its music, and S.B. Uddhav has edited the film, which will start streaming on June 23rd.

‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ is an action comedy-drama film made in Hindi that has several prominent Telugu actors and Telugu songs acting in it. The film talks about a self-appointed vigilante who wants to make society crime-free. But what happens to his family through various revelations forms the rest of the story in this wholesome entertainer. The movie will start streaming on June 23.
