‘Mazaka’ box office collections day 2: Sundeep Kishan’s film collects Rs 3.15 crore

Sundeep Kishan’s latest Telugu entertainer, ‘Mazaka’, is witnessing a steady run at the box office, earning Rs 3.15 crore in just two days. Directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina, the film features an ensemble cast including Anshu, Ajay, Rao Ramesh, and Ritu Varma in key roles.


According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Mazaka’ opened with a decent collection of Rs 2 crore on its first day, and on its second day, it added an estimated Rs 1.15 crore, bringing its total to Rs 3.15 crore India net. The film has maintained an overall 16.62% occupancy in Telugu regions on Thursday, with audience turnout gradually stabilizing.


Breaking down the occupancy rates, Hyderabad led the numbers with 17.75%, followed by Vijayawada with 11%, while Bengaluru and Chennai saw lower numbers. The morning and afternoon shows saw relatively better footfall compared to evening screenings.

Despite a dip in collections on its second day, ‘Mazaka’ has the potential to pick up momentum over the weekend. The film’s performance in the coming days will be crucial in determining its long-term success. If word-of-mouth and weekend footfalls work in its favor, ‘Mazaka’ could see an upward trend at the box office.

Meanwhile, ETimes has only given 2.5 star rating for the film and our official review reads, “While the performances across the board are compelling, the film's overall length is a drawback. A tighter runtime would have enhanced the pacing and impact, as it occasionally feels stretched beyond necessity. The songs, though melodious, could have been integrated more organically into the screenplay for a seamless experience. Leon James' musical compositions are a mixed bag, with a couple of standout tracks. The background score supports the narrative but doesn’t significantly elevate it. Nizar Shafi’s cinematography captures the essence of Visakhapatnam beautifully, adding a visual appeal that enhances the storytelling. Editing by Chota K Prasad is effective, though a more stringent approach could have trimmed the sluggish moments.”
