'Mega 157': Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara’s upcoming film to get its title revealed on the Megastar's birthday

The makers of the Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara starrer with director Anil Ravipudi have announced that the much-awaited title of the film, tentatively called 'Mega 157', will be unveiled on August 22, marking the star's special day.

On Wednesday, the makers took to Instagram to share the update, along with a short glimpse announcing the title reveal. The caption read, "Let's celebrate Megastar's birthday with the spectacular Mega 157 Title Glimpse tomorrow at 11:25 AM. Grand Launch Event from 10 AM onwards at Prasad's Imax PCX Screen. It's going to be a feast watching @KChiruTweets in @AnilRavipudi’s signature style."

Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara reunite

The film stars Nayanthara, who will be sharing the screen with Chiranjeevi for the third time. The duo has previously worked together in 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' and 'Godfather', both of which saw her in crucial roles alongside the Megastar.


Interestingly, a behind-the-scenes video from the film circulated on social media earlier. The video shows Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara shooting a wedding sequence on a typical boat in Alappuzha, Kerala, and it gives fans a sense of the festive tone the film seems to be going for.

The music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, with cinematography by Sameer Reddy and editing by Tammiraju. The film is expected to hit the big screens during the Sankranthi 2026 release window.

Update on 'Vishwambhara' teaser release

On the other hand, Chiranjeevi recently made an important announcement regarding his much-anticipated socio-fantasy film 'Vishwambhara.' He revealed that the film's release has been postponed to the summer of 2026 due to the extensive visual effects work required, especially for the second half of the movie.

Chiranjeevi explained that the delay was a conscious decision aiming for superior VFX quality to deliver the best cinematic experience to the audience. He described the story as a magical one that appeals to both children and the child in every adult. On the eve of his 70th birthday, August 21, 2025, Chiranjeevi and the film's makers released a teaser of 'Vishwambhara'.
