'Mirai' budget: Teja Sajja says the number feels 'unreal'; ' I wouldn't have believed them'

Actor Teja Sajja is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, 'Mirai,' directed by Karthik Gattamaneni. The movie is a fantasy adventure action thriller and consists of high-end VFX and high-action sequences, making it look like it was made on an enormous budget. Recently, the lead actor shared details regarding the film's finances. Let's find out the film's budget.

Budget of 'Mirai'

While speaking with IANS, Teja Sajja shared that the film was shot for around 125 days and on a budget of Rs 60 crores. The actor went on to praise the team as he suggested that the number feels unreal to make a film of that stature and class. "If someone else had suggested that they would be able to make a film of this stature and class on this budget, I wouldn't have believed them. But the faith that I have in the technician and director Karthik Gattamaneni made me believe him with my eyes closed. He is just a brilliant director and cinematographer," he said.

Natural light in outdoor shots

Interestingly, Karthik Gattamaneni is also the cinematographer of the film. Teja Sajja mentioned that the team did not use any artificial lights for outdoor shots. Each and every sequence was shot with natural lighting. "Karthik is so good at optimizing natural lighting," he added.

Shooting at 18 degrees in the Himalayas

The 'HanuMan' actor also mentioned that they shot in the Himalayas for three days and went to several locations where caravans wouldn't be able to go, leaving them to adjust to whatever they had. Shooting outdoors, they also had to encounter temperatures as low as minus 18 degrees for certain sequences in the film, as the team shot some sequences in the Himalayas.

Teja Sajja will be seen as a Yodha in the film who uses a magical staff. Manchu Manoj is playing the main antagonist, and the movie also stars Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Shriya Saran, and Ritika Nayak in key roles.It is slated to release on September 12.
