'Mirai': Teja Sajja recalls injuries he suffered while shooting adventure action flick; trained for 20 days

Teja Sajja, fresh off 'HanuMan,' stars in 'Mirai' as a Yodha, performing his own fast-action stunts under the guidance of Thai masters. Despite a wrist ligament injury and a previous spine issue from 'HanuMan,' Sajja persevered. The film features Manoj Manchu as the antagonist seeking a powerful staff, alongside Jagapathi Babu and Shriya Saran.

After his 2024 superhero flick 'HanuMan', Teja Sajja is coming up with hus next film titled 'Mirai', playing a Yodha in the fantasy action adventure film. Recently, the young actor shared insights about the stunts performed in the film and the injuries that came with them.According to a report by News18, speaking about the preparation of the film, Teja Sajja said that all the stunts in the film were performed by him without the help of any stunt doubles. The actor explained, "The stunts we have done are of a fast-action kind. We brought in Ketcha master and Nang master from Thailand. I personally went there and trained for about 20 days for my role."

Sustained injury while shooting 'Mirai'

He also mentioned that he sustained a ligament injury in his wrist while practising with a six-kilo staff used for the fight sequences.

Challenges while filming stunts

He also explained that his previous spine injury during the shoot for the Prasanth Varma directorial 'HanuMan' also made things difficult. She shared that all the stunts viewers watch are live stunts and because of his injury, whenever he used to wear a rope harness, he would feel the pain in his C4-C5 region. However, the actor does not care much about it as he recalled that the stunts came out very well.'Mirai' is an adventure action film in which Teja Sajja's character gets hold of a staff in this fantasy world. Manoj Manchu's role as the main antagonist portrays him as someone who has eyes on the staff and wants to collect it to take over some dark forces.The movie includes Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Shriya Saran, and Ritika Nayak.The music of the film is composed by Gowra Hari.
