introduces himself in the trailer of his forthcoming film MLA, revealing that the acronym stands for ‘Manchi lakshanlunna abbayi’ or a ‘boy with good qualities’. Helmed by debutant Upendra, the trailer shows Kalyan Ram at his entertaining best and he surely packs a punch with the various facets of his role, whether it’s wooing Kajal Aggarwal in the song Hey Indu.. Naa Indu or threatening the baddies with powerful dialogues. Sample this: “Neninka Rajaakeyam cheyyatam modalapettaledhu... Despite what the title suggests, Upendra assures us that MLA is more than a political film. “It has a political touch to it but it’s not a political film. The theme revolves around the character of Kalyan (Kalyan Ram) who falls in love with Indu (Kajal) and depicts his attempt to win her heart. It’s a proper commercial entertainer containing all the ingredients typical of a mainstream Tollywood film,” Upendra explains.

in 2007, there is a wave of anticipation surrounding this film’s release.
“Yes, when we released the teaser, it got an incredible response and later, when we released the trailer, it did even better and presently has around 3 million views. Fans will not be disappointed. There are four songs in the film, shot in Azerbaijan, a country of pristine beauty, at locations hitherto untouched by any filmmaker. The visuals coupled with Mani Sharma’s music will be extremely pleasing to the eye. And the action episodes, especially a fight sequence at a ‘glass factory’ set, will stand out.
