'Naa Nuvve' movie review highlights: A disappointing first half

When a team with names like Jayendra Panchapakesan at direction, PC Shreeram welding the camera, Sharreth at music and

Kalyan Ram

and

Tamannaah

in lead roles come together, one expects nothing less than magic. However 'Naa Nuvve's first half is anything but magical - so much so, that the audience at this reviewer's theatre broke out in sarcastic applause when the interval was announced.



The film charts the journey of RJ Meera (Tamannaah) who believes it's destiny that brought Varun (Kalyan Ram) into her life. Varun on the other hand is a practical man who doesn't believe in the magic of destiny. The first half ends with Varun putting Meera's concept of destiny to test, apparently just to prove her wrong.

The first half also features cameos by Vennela Kishore,

Bithri Satti

and Priyadarshi - with only Bithri's traffic cop act making a mark. Two songs featuring amateur graphics and endless scenes that definitely do not blend together, the first half is majorly disappointing. It is only Tamannaah who looks cute as a peach, making it a bearable watch so far.

However, there's still hope for the film to 'maybe' stabilise in the second half. Let's wait and watch!
