Naga Chaitanya and Pooja Hegde to co-Star in their next film: Reports

Naga Chaitanya is currently engrossed in the filming of his upcoming project, 'Thandel', helmed by director Chandoo Mondeti. While 'Thandel' is in full swing, reports have surfaced about Chaitanya's potential collaboration with director Karthik Dandu for another project.

Although the official announcement for this new venture is yet to be made, recent rumors hint at the possibility of Pooja Hegde joining Naga Chaitanya in the cast. If the speculation holds true, filming for this untitled project could commence as early as October 2024.

Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for the release of 'Thandel', where he shares the screen with the talented actress Sai Pallavi. The film delves into the real-life experiences of the fisherman community in Srikakulam. Chaitanya's character, a fisherman, finds himself accidentally drifting into Pakistani waters and finds himself imprisoned in the country. The story revolves around his struggles in captivity while his beloved, played by Sai Pallavi awaits his return.

In an interview with Zing Wheels, Naga Chaitanya shed light on the film's inspiration, revealing that it draws from an actual event that occurred in 2018. His character's journey, spending a year and a half behind bars in a Pakistani jail, is expected to be the focal point of the story and with the love elements the film will be a romantic thriller drama film with rich emotions to see what one can expect. 'Thandel' is slated for a theatrical release on December 20, 2024

Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde is working on her upcoming Hindi film, ‘Deva’ where she will be playing the lead with Shahid Kapoor who will be seen in the shoes of the police officer.
