Naga Shaurya to play a deaf and mute in his next film with Balakrishna

Naga Shaurya has a bunch of projects in his kitty but if the buzz is anything to go by, he will soon try out something he has never done before.

The actor who previously told Hyderabad Times that he is reinventing himself not just by working on a buff body, but also in the choice of roles he’s looking to play, sure has some interesting projects up his sleeve. Santosh Jagarlapudi’s Lakshya sees him turn into an

archer

with Ketika Sharma as his co-star. Lakshmi Sowjanya’s

Varudu Kaavalenu

will see him essay a boy-next-door with Ritu Varma as his co-star. Apart from that he also has films with Anish Krishna, Srinivas Avasarala and Raja Kolusu.

And the latest is that he has given his nod to debutant director Sriman Vemula for his next. What’s more, the film will see him team up with none other than Nandamuri

Balakrishna

for the same. While the actor refused to confirm the same and replied with a ‘no comment’ when asked about the film, a source close to the film’s unit stated, “ Yes, it’s true that Naga Shaurya will play a

deaf

and

mute

in one of his three yet to be announced projects. The character gives him enough scope to perform, which is what made him say yes, apart from the fact that the story is pretty good. The

multi-starrer

will see both Balakrishna and him leading the show. His character will be unique and unlike anything he has done before.”

While the film is yet to be announced by the filmmakers, reports state that it will go on floors early next year. Further details are awaited.
