Nagarjuna holds Sobhita Dhulipala's hair back as temple priest applies bottu to her forehead, sparks mixed reactions online

Newlyweds Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya made their first public appearance after their wedding at the revered Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Srisailam, Andhra Pradesh, on Friday morning. Accompanying them was Chaitanya’s father, veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni.

A video from their temple visit has caught the attention of fans. In the clip, all three bow before a priest, who gives them turmeric, bottu (sandalwood paste), and flowers to apply to their foreheads. Nagarjuna goes first, followed by Sobhita. As she applies the sandalwood paste, her untied hair falls forward. Nagarjuna gently moves her hair aside.

The touching moment has sparked mixed reactions online. Many fans found the gesture heartwarming, with comments like, “He is like her dad figure and he is caring for her,” and, “That is the respect and care for a daughter-in-law.” Others, however, felt the gesture was unnecessary.




Both Chaitanya and Sobhita wore traditional outfits for their temple visit. Chaitanya looked elegant in a white pancha, and Sobhita wore a beautiful yellow saree.

The couple tied the knot on December 4 in a traditional Telugu wedding ceremony at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The intimate event was attended by close family and friends. This marks a new chapter in Chaitanya’s life after his previous marriage to Samantha Ruth Prabhu, which ended in October 2021.



The wedding was a stunning display of Telugu traditions, with rituals performed under the guidance of elders. The festive atmosphere was enriched by heartfelt blessings from family and friends, who gathered to witness this significant moment.
