Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu shared respect for the actor by calling his career a "golden chapter in Indian film history." He praised Balakrishna's commitment and love for cinema and commented that this honor serves as an acknowledgement of the actor's excellence in the industry.
Interestingly, Balakrishna becomes the first Telugu actor to receive such global recognition.
Nandamuri Balakrishna began his journey as a child artist in 1974 with Tatamma Kala. Since then, Balakrishna has acted in over 100 films in many genres. Some of his unforgettable performances include 'Annadammula Anubandham', 'Sahasame Jeevitham', 'Veera Simha Reddy' and more.
Speaking of his work, he was last seen in 'Daaku Maharaaj', which was released theatrically on January 12 this year during the Sankranti festival. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the movie is an action drama set in the Chambal region and tells the story of Sitaram, a civil engineer who transforms into the feared dacoit known as Daaku Maharaaj to protect a distressed village from an evil prince.
He is now busy with 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam', the much-awaited sequel to his blockbuster 'Akhanda', and has also lined up another major project with director Gopichand Malineni.
