Natural star Nani will soon be seen on the silver screen with his latest film, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram', directed by Vivek Athreya. This action-packed entertainer features S.J. Suryah and Priyanka Mohan in pivotal roles. As the release date approaches, the makers are now promoting the film.
The plot of 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' introduces an interesting quirk in Nani's character, Surya, which has caught the attention of many. In a unique twist, Surya is a man who reserves his anger for Saturdays.
Nani, while promoting the film in Chennai, spoke about his character, Surya. He explained that the idea behind the character is rooted in the idea that anger when left unchecked, can lead to regret. He said, "Anger often leads to regret. Sometimes, people get angry for even silly things too. By waiting, we can assess if our anger is justified. I play Surya who waits until Saturday to evaluate his anger and filter out what is not worth it."
He also mentioned, "Surya writes down the names of those who irritated him throughout the week. He strikes those names which are insignificant. If the rage continues, he then goes to thrash the deserving. People assume anger is not good but it is a powerful weapon if the purpose is right."
S.J. Suryah plays the antagonist in the film and Priyanka Mohan takes the female lead.
Earlier, S.J. Suryah also revealed the nature of Nani's character during the film's promotion where he mentioned that Surya is a man who reserves his anger for Saturdays and this unusual behaviour comes after a promise he made to his mother which makes the plot of the film.
Scheduled for release on August 29th, the film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. In Hindi and other languages, the movie is titled 'Surya’s Saturdays'.
