Nithiin starrer 'Robinhood' gets a ticket price hike in AP ahead of release

For Nithiin's upcoming film, 'Robinhood,' directed by Venky Kudumula, the makers are engaged in their promotional campaigns. The action-comedy entertainer, starring Sreeleela as the female lead, is set for this Friday.

In a recent update, the Andhra Pradesh government has approved a ticket price hike for the film's first week. Multiplex tickets will see an increase of Rs 75, while single-screen tickets will rise by Rs 50 above regular rates. This move is expected to boost the film's box office collections during its crucial opening days.

As per a Hindustan Times report, the movie is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 50 crore. The film is expected to make a strong box office opening. However, there are speculations that the increase in the price of the ticket would gradually decrease the repeat audience that comes to the cinema halls.

'Robinhood' tells the story of Ram, a modern-day Robin Hood, who is a master thief. Fate leads him to become the personal security officer for Neera, which leads to a plot of action, comedy, and unexpected twists. The film features Nithiin as Ram and Sreeleela as Neera, with a supporting cast that includes Shine. Tom Chacko, Rajendra Prasad, and Vennela Kishore.

In an interesting move, David Warner will also make his Indian cinema debut with the film as he makes a cameo appearance. The promotional activities have been well-received, with David Warner's involvement drawing particular attention. He participated in the film's pre-release event, where he recreated Allu Arjun's iconic 'Srivalli' hook step.

The film also includes Rajendra Prasad and Vennela Kishore, with music by G.V. Prakash Kumar.

The OTT rights of the film have been acquired by the ZEE5 digital streaming platform.
