'NTRNeel': Maker confirms Rukmini Vasanth is part of Jr NTR–Prashanth Neel's action epic - Read

Jr NTR, after his massive stint with Hrithik Roshan in the spy-action film, 'War 2' will be next seen in the Prashanth Neel film, rumoured to be named 'Dragon'. There have been murmurs regarding Rukmini Vasanth joining as the female lead, and recently filmmaker NV Prasad confirmed the 'Ace' actor's involvement.

As per a CineExpress report, during a pre-release event of the film, 'Madharaasi' filmmaker NV Prasad, who is backing the project, mentioned that Rukmini Vasanth is a part of 'NTRNeel'.


For months, fans speculated about her involvement, but no one from the team had spoken openly until now. The statement instantly went viral on social media, with Rukmini's fans celebrating her biggest pan-Indian casting yet. Though there has been no official word from the actress herself or from the film's production team, Prasad’s comment has given fans enough reason to celebrate. Sharing a photo of the actress, the fan page wrote, "Waiting for NTR Neel Film…. Rukmini - Me too."

Rukmini Vasanth is known for her roles in 'Sapta Sagaradaache Ello' and 'Ace' and will be seen as the female lead in the upcoming Rishab Shetty film 'Kantara: Chapter 1'. Additionally she is also a part of Yash starrer 'Toxic'. She will be seen in the upcoming movie, 'Madharaasi'.

About 'NTRNEEL'

Speaking of 'NTRNEEL', the film is being shot on a grand scale. After wrapping a schedule in Kumta, the team is now preparing for another major schedule at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, where massive sets have been constructed.

Ravi Basrur will be composing the music, cinematography will be handled by Bhuvan Gowda, and Chalapathi will oversee production design.

The makers have already locked in a release date, which is on June 25, 2026 and it will arrive in cinemas worldwide in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
