Overseas theatrical rights of Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Tej I Love You’ sold for a fancy price

Tollywood actor Sai Dharam Tej is gearing up for the release of his upcoming flick ‘

Tej I Love you

’ to be directed by

A Karunakaran

. He was last seen in the VV Vinayak directorial ‘Intelligent’, which failed miserably at the box office. Even though the movie was a flop, the combination of Sai Dharam and Karunakaran had created a huge hype before it released.

Meanwhile, the

overseas theatrical rights

of the movie have been sold for a record price. The makers have earned reportedly Rs 75 lakhs from the sale of overseas rights. His previous best was Rs 60 lakhs set by VV Vinayak’s ‘Intelligent’. The US distributors are hoping that ‘Tej I Love you’ would fetch around Rs 1 crore after the release.

It seems that the overseas market has witnessed a good growth for Sai Dharam since his last outing. Trade experts are of the opinion that distributors are confident of the success of ‘Tej I Love You’, considering Sai Dharam and Karunakaran’s combination.
