Panja Vaisshnav Tej, Rakul Preet Singh's 'Konda Polam' gets a U certificate

Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Rakul Preet Singh’s much-awaited film '

Konda Polam

' has passed the

Censor Board Of Film Certification

(CBFC) with a

U certificate

. Based on the novel of the same penned by Sannapureddy Venkata Ramireddy, 'Konda Polam' is directed by

Krish Jagralamudi

and produced by Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Rajeev Reddy under the banner of First Frame Entertainments.

Sharing the news, director Krish Jagarlamudi wrote, ''#KondaPolam -an epic tale of Becoming Censored "��" n Ready to Roar in Theatres near U from Oct 8th.''


With the Censor Board paving the way for the movie, the Vaisshnav Tej –Rakul Preet starrer would hit screens on

October 8

. It is the first time that the Rakul has been paired opposite Vaisshnav Tej, and the audience got a glimpse of their chemistry with the release of the trailer, which was released on September 27 and has received an exceptional response.

The 2 minutes 45 seconds trailer has already amassed over 8 million views on YouTube, and it promises that the film looks high on drama, action and dialogues. Set in the backdrop of the Nallamalla region, Vaisshnav plays a man who aims big in life while Rakul plays Obulamma in the film. The music is composed by MM Keeravani, while the cinematography is handled by Gnana Shekar VS and the editing by Shravan Katikaneni. Sai Chand, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Nassar, Annapurna, Hema, Anthony and Ravi Prakash are playing pivotal roles in 'Konda Polam.'
