Jagapathi Babu is part of the upcoming
Ram Charan starrer ‘Peddi’. Ahead of the film’s release in March next year, the makers shared the first look of the actor as Appalasoori playing a powerful and impactful role.
Intense look as Appalasoori
Taking to their X (formerly Twitter) handle, the makers shared the first look of Jagapathi Babu, where he seems to be playing an aged character from the village. He keeps an intense and angry look on his face, wearing glasses. There are dark clouds in the sky and he seems to be walking in the terrain from the village. He will be seen playing the role of Appalasoori.
The makers wrote, “The incredible @IamJagguBhai as 'APPALASOORI' from #Peddi. Brace yourselves for his masterclass performance in a strong, impactful role. #PEDDI WORLDWIDE RELEASE ON 27th MARCH, 2026.”
Fans react to his new avatar
Fans praised the actor’s new look. A netizen in the comments wrote, “This is very new look of Jagapathi Babu sir in recent times.” Many also shared their reaction to the unexpected transformation. Another fan wrote, “Except the unexpected from the boss@IamJagguBhai malli oka asvr and rangasthalam, Legend range charcter excepting.”
Directed by ‘Uppena’ fame Buchi Babu Sana, the film will be a sports action drama starring Ram Charan in a rugged and heavy-bearded look. It also features Janhvi Kapoor, Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in the film.
Boman Irani’s presence confirmed
On the other hand, makers also introduced Bollywood veteran Boman Irani, making his presence in the movie. The cinematographer of the film, Rathnavelu shared a BTS post, where he, Boman Irani and Buchi Babu Sana are seen posing for a click. The ‘3 Idiots’ actor is seen in formals, keeping a mature look in a lush green background.
The movie is set to release on March 27th in multiple laguages which also coincides with Ram Charan’s birthday.
