‘Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi is a film for the whole family’
Srinivas Avasarala’s Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi (PAPA) is an emotionally-charged love story of a young couple navigating the stormy waters of a relationship from adolescence to adulthood, with all the ups and downs that come with it. Naga Shaurya and Malvika Nair play the lead roles in the film that hit the screens on Friday.
According to producer TG Vishwa Prasad, “PAPA has a relatable story that everyone can connect with, regardless of their age. With a feel-good and breezy romancethat leaves a smile on your face. The filmwill appeal to all audiences, so families can enjoy it together.”
Co-producer Vivek Kuchibotla says, “We’re pleased because the portions of the film shot in the UK look especially beautiful on-screen. Everyone seems to have loved the music. Shaurya and Malvika breathed life into their characters, Sanjay and Anupama. No one could have done it better.”
Producer Dasari Padmaja of Dasari Productions agrees that the actors brought the characters to life effortlessly. “Shaurya is such a natural; he pulled off the emotional scenes so well,” she says. "Srinivas Avasarala was clear on the kind of film he wanted to make and delivered that. We're elated with the response the film has gotten so far. It's the perfect film to watch at the theaters with family.”
