Green India Challenge

from Prakash Raj and accomplished the same by planting saplings at her residence in Chennai. Urging everyone to do their bit for a greener India, she shared a few pictures of her planting saplings in the mud and wrote on her Twitter handle “I accepted the #GreenIndiaChallenge and planted two saplings today. I request you all to do your bit and help towards a greener India”

Along with the 37-year-old actress, Prakash Raj has nominated Mohanlal, Suriya, Ramya Krishnan and Rakshit Shetty to play their part in Green India Challenge.

After delivering an impeccable show as Janaki Devi in Prem Kumar’s 96, Trisha bounced back into the radar of South cinema. Besides playing a prominent role in Mani Ratnam’s historical-drama Ponniyin Selvan and starring opposite Mohanlal in Jeethu Joseph’s Malayalam thriller, she is hands-full in Kollywood with a pipeline of films. She was last seen in Gautham Menon's 12-minute-long short film, Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn, starring Simbu as the protagonist. Recently, the gorgeous gal took a trip down memory lane on Instagram and shared a throwback picture when she bagged her first ever beauty pageant, Miss Chennai 1999.

’ was supposed to be Trisha Krishnan’s comeback vehicle to Telugu cinema after five years. In a surprise turnaround of events, she took to social media and officially confirmed that she is backing off from the film owing to creative differences. Kajal Aggarwal replaced her.
