On the festive occasion of
Ugadi,
Gudi Padwa, Vishu and Baisakhi, the makers of
Prabhas and
Pooja Hegde’s upcoming film ‘
Radhe Shyam
’ have unveiled a new poster from the film and if features the ‘Rebel Star’ acing the retro look with a million-dollar smile on his face. Draped in a brown turtleneck sweater and green pants, he (Vikramaditya) can be seen holding a white pillar and gazing at his lady love that is none other than Pooja (Prerana).
Sharing the poster and wishing all his fans on the special occasion, Prabhas wrote on his Instagram handle “One binding factor of the celebrations of these beautiful festivals is LOVE. Feel it. Cherish it. Spread it.”
While Prabhas is essaying the role of Vikramaditya, Pooja Hegde will be seen as Prerana in this heart-wrenching love story set against the backdrop of Rome. The shooting of ‘Radhe Shyam’ is on the verge of completion and the portions featuring Prabhas and veteran actor Krishnam Raju are left to be shot. Besides the lead pair, the big-budget project has an ensemble star cast of
Bhagyashree, Jayaram, Priyadarshi, Sachin Khedekar, Murli Sharma, Sasha Chettri, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Sathya.
Jointly bankrolled by UV Creations and T Series, ‘Radhe Shyam’ is directed by ‘Jil’ fame Radha Krishna Kumar with
Manoj Paramahamsa handling the camera and Hollywood action choreographer Nick Powell acting as the stunt coordinator. The period drama has been on sets for close to two years and the makers have recently shot a crucial schedule in the massive set at a private studio which is estimated to have cost around Rs 30 crore.
Slated for a worldwide release on July 30th, the Valentine’s Day teaser showcased Prabhas trying to woo Pooja by uttering a couple of lines in Italian at a railway station.
