Prabhas starrer ‘The Raja Saab’ producer files cyber crime complaint over impersonation and derogatory posts - Reports
Director Maruthi’s horror-comedy ‘The Raja Saab’ was released in theatres on January 9. The film, starring Prabhas in the lead, received lukewarm reviews from the moviegoers. However, the film’s alleged poor quality was called out by the netizens and it received negative opinions online. Recently, the producer of the film has lodged a complaint against certain handles for “spreading negativity with misleading remarks.”
The post read, “Producer @SKNonline has lodged a formal complaint at the Cyber Crime Police Station against certain social media handles that were impersonating him and posting derogatory and misleading remarks targeting the film and its actors. Such malicious acts are intended to create confusion and spread negativity. Strict legal action will be taken against those involved, and the matter is currently under investigation.”
The film features Sanjey Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar in key roles. Police complaint by filmmaker
The filmmaker reshared a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, which shared that producer SKN, who worked as the creative producer on the film, was also attacked online. According to the team, some handles even tried to pretend they were SKN and shared misleading and negative remarks. These posts created confusion and added more negativity around the film.Maker warns legal action against certain handles
Taking the issue seriously, SKN filed a police complaint. The statement says that he lodged a complaint at the Cyber Crime Police Station on Friday. The note stated that the complaint was filed against social media handles that were “impersonating him and posting derogatory and misleading remarks targeting the film and its actors.” It further read, “Such malicious acts are intended to create confusion and spread negativity.
