Prime Minister Narendra Modi expresses sorrow over Taraka Ratna's death

Telugu people are unable to digest the news of Taraka Ratna's death. He passed away on Saturday after he was fighting in the hospital for 23 days. Taraka Ratna's mortal remains were shifted from Bangalore to his residence in Mokila, Hyderabad. The death of Taraka Ratna has plunged the cine world into a tragedy. Many film stars are mourning his sudden demise.Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed shock over Tarak's death.

Nandamuri Taraka Ratna was born on February 22 1983 in Hyderabad. He is the son of veteran cinematographer Nandamuri Mohankrishna. He started his career with the film 'Okato Number Kurraadu' in 2002 and has since then acted in over 20 films in lead roles, including hits like 'Yuva Rathna', 'Taarak' and 'Bhadradri Ramudu'. He has also played crucial roles in films like 'Amaravathi', 'Nandeeswarudu', 'Kakatheeyudu', 'Manamantha', 'Raja Cheyyi Vesthe' and 'Kayyum Bhai'. He was last seen in 'S5 No Exit.'
