On November 12, 2025, SS Rajamouli had unveiled a new poster of 'Varanasi' introducing Priyanka Chopra as 'Mandakini'. Welcoming the "Desi Girl" back to Indian screens, the director praised her global impact and teased that her character, Mandakini, possesses hidden depths that will surprise the audience.

Her past looks buried, but not for long. The trailer shows how her calm life is disrupted when old enemies return. Ercell is forced to face her past and fight again to protect her family.

Her first look, unveiled in November 2025, shows Mandakini in a dramatic yellow saree, wielding a gun. SS Rajamouli welcomed her back as the "Desi Girl" who redefined Indian cinema globally.
