Priyanka Jawalkar to join Kalyan Shankar's 'MAD' gang; reports

After the success of the 2023 Telugu film 'MAD', the makers had recently announced a sequel that will reunite director Kalyan Shankar with stars Sangeeth Shobhan, Vishnu Oi, Nithin Narne, and Ram Nithin. Excitingly a new female lead has joined the cast for this installment.

According to a report by Gulte, Priyanka Jawalkar is expected to join the 'MAD' gang. In the first part of 'MAD', Gouri Priya, Ananathika Sanilkumar, and Gopika Udayan played leading roles. However, in the sequel, Priyanka Jawalkar is set to take on a significant role as the primary female lead. While the original actresses may still appear in the sequel, their roles will be limited compared to Priyanka's.

Priyanka Jawalkar is known for her performances in films like 'Taxiwala' and 'Gamanam'. She made her acting debut in 2017 and has gained recognition for her work in the Telugu film industry.

In 'MAD Square', the reports indicate that she may not be paired with any male lead but will have ample opportunity for character development.

As of now, only 15 days of shooting are left for the film, after which the team plans to ramp up promotional activities. This quick turnaround suggests that the filmmakers are eager to generate buzz leading up to the film's release.

The film is being made by the same makers who delivered the comedy action drama films, 'Dj Tillu' and 'Tillu Square'. These projects are expected to be from the same universe.
