‘Pushpa 2’ star Allu Arjun shares first Tweet since home vandalism

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun shared his first social media post on Monday night following the vandalism of his Hyderabad home over the weekend. The Pushpa 2 star, embroiled in legal and public controversies since the film’s release, chose to focus on positivity in his online presence, expressing gratitude to Yash Raj Films (YRF) for their support.

Despite the issues, Allu Arjun returned to X (formerly Twitter) to acknowledge YRF’s shoutout celebrating the box office success of Pushpa 2. “Records are meant to be broken and new ones push everyone towards excellence,” YRF wrote, referring to the film’s record-breaking performance.


Allu Arjun graciously responded, writing, “Thank you … so graceful. Humbled by your wishes. Thank you, I am touched. May this record soon be broken by a heart-melting #YRF film, and may we all collectively move towards excellence.”

The Tweet was soon flooded with comments. One comment read, “Nice bhaai.. hope you're fine..” Another comment read, “Stay strong and bounce back hard bhAAi.” A third one commented, “Stay strong bhAAi, ipudu idhi avasaramaah.” Onw Twitter user wrote, “wishing you for blockbuster pushpa 2 success brother hoping that soon all will be fine, god bless.”

Notably, Allu Arjun refrained from addressing the recent controversies in his post. The tragic stampede during the film’s premiere resulted in the death of a woman and left her son critically injured.

For the unversed, The actor’s home in Jubilee Hills was vandalized by a group of protesters demanding justice for a woman who tragically lost her life in a stampede during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule earlier this month. The protesters, claiming to be affiliated with the Osmania University - Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC), damaged property, including flower pots, and threw tomatoes at the actor’s residence. Six individuals were arrested in connection with the incident but were released on bail the following day.


The Hyderabad police have since heightened security at the actor’s residence to prevent further disturbances. The controversy has sparked a political slugfest, with various parties blaming governance failures for the stampede and questioning the motives behind the protests.
