Apart from his home turf in Hyderabad,
Allu Arjun enjoys a massive fanbase in Bihar. The ‘Pushpa’ star is currently working on one of his biggest films with director Atlee on ‘Raaka’. If the latest developments are to be believed, multiple distributors from the North state are trying to buy the film rights.
Distributors compete for rights
As per a report by Hindustan Times, several distributors are ready to pay a very high price for the film’s exclusive territorial rights for the state. Allu Arjun has a huge following in states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand. His last film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ did very well there. Many theatres even reopened because people wanted to watch the film. The first part, ‘Pushpa: The Rise, ’ was also a big hit in Hindi. Because of this, expectations for ‘Raaka’ are very high as well.
About ‘Raaka’
Speaking about the film, ‘Raaka is a sci-fi action thriller where Allu Arjun is set to be seen in multiple avatars. Bollywood’s Deepika Padukone will be playing the female lead and reports also suggest that Mrunal Thakur, Janhvi Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna are also part of the project.
Allu Arjun’s first look of ‘Raaka’
On Allu Arjun’s birthday earlier this month, the makers shared the title and first look of Allu Arjun from the movie. The poster showed Allu Arjun in a bold new avatar with a bald look and sharp features. He has kohl-lined eyes, a receding hairline, and a thick grey beard. He covers part of his face with a clawed hand and stares straight. The pose is similar to his X (formerly Twitter) profile picture.
The movie is expected to hit the theatres next year.
Meanwhile, after ‘Raaka’, Allu Arjun will also be seen in the film with director Lokesh Kanagaraj.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
