Actor and comedian Rahul Ramakrishna played a prank that has made him the favourite of trolls on Saturday.

While he initially shared on social media that he will no longer act in films come 2022 by the evening he called it a prank, terming those who believed him as ‘fools’. The actor who rose to fame with Arjun Reddy is now facing heat from netizens for his attempt at humour that no one found funny.

On Saturday morning, the actor wrote, “2022 is my last. I will not do films anymore. Not that I care, nor should anybody care. (sic)” Soon after he announced this, his admirers expressed concern and asked him not to waste his talent. Many even advised him not to quit as a comedian like him is rare. But by Saturday evening, he shared a bizarre statement that read, “It’s a joke you fools. Why would I throw away a high-paying, luxury life so full of benefits? I can’t believe my friends are calling me up to congratulate me on my retirement. (sic)”
