Ram Charan and Arvind Swamy had to say about Dhruva
He set the benchmark so high with his performance as Siddharth Abimanyu (in
Arvind, however confesses to having had reservations to play the same role again. ���I didn���t want to tamper with a role that already had set a high standard.
Explaining how he got into the skin of the character Arvind says, ���Siddharth is a scientist. He isn���t dramatic, I wanted him to be a cerebral guy, self-assured guy. I didn���t want the character to be apologetic about what he does. He doesn���t have a backstory, or a reason for him to be bad. He���s just a shrewd and selfish guy who reflects the society. I didn���t want the stereotypes of smoking or drinking to be associated with him to make him look bad.���
Apparently, the duo bonded so well that they had a tough time playing foes on screen. ���Arvind is a perfect gentleman. I like the way he thinks about a scene. We had a blast shooting for the film and interestingly, we clicked well instantly. But both of us jelled so well off screen that it was difficult to be foes after becoming such good friends. But thankfully we were good enough to slip into our when we needed to,��� shares Charan.
Arvind concurs saying, ���We needed to have a rapport off-screen too for the characters to work on screen. So we inevitably shared what we call��� a bromance! (laughs). Amongst other things he would talk about his fitness regime ��� he was following a special routine for the film and we used to talk about that most of the time.. Charan has his own way of interpreting the character and I enjoyed listening to his perspective.���
