lined up for release. But recently, there was buzz that he will act in the Telugu remake of Malayalam film

Ayyappanum Koshiyum

with none other than Pawan Kalyan even if an official announcement hasn’t been made yet. Opening up about it in a recent interview, Rana admitted, “Yes! I was approached for a role in the remake but nothing has been finalised yet. I am very interested in doing it actually.”

He also opened up on how rumours of him acting with his babai

in a film are true too. “There will be a beautiful announcement next year. The story has been okayed and everything is really finalised, I am really excited for it,” he said, adding, “In fact, babai recently even watched bits and pieces of Aranya and complemented me for the first time. Usually, my family is pretty open in pointing out flaws.”

Aranya will see Vishnu Vishal as his co-star while Virata Parvam will see Sai Pallavi, Nandita Das and Priyamani. “Virata Parvam will run on the theme of naxalism and fifteen days of shoot is left for the same. The film is set in the 90s and is an intense love story, Venu is a brilliant director. Aranya is interesting to me because it sees my character protecting something he loves, which happens to be nature. Both films will hit screens during summer,” he said.
