‘Rangasthalam’ scores nomination for Best Film at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2018

Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

2018. The film was nominated by the State Government of Victoria to compete with fifty-six other language films. The winners will be announced in the prestigious annual Indian Film Festival based in Melbourne, Australia, which will take place from August 10-22.

‘Rangasthalam’, set in the backdrop of the 1980s, revolves around the territorial politics and rural conservation. Penned by Sukumar, the story intends to show the world that dirty village politics are not about every politician but about a few individuals with ill motives. The film was produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Sankar and Mohan Cherukuri under Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Sukumar. Music by Devi Sri Prasad, ‘Rangasthalam’ also features Samantha, Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu and some others.
