Rashmika Mandanna's 'The Girlfriend' goes on floors; see pics

Rashmika Mandanna has now signed up for her next film 'The Girlfriend'. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the film was officially announced a couple of months back and now the film has went on floors and the photos from the muhurat pujah are out on the internet. Director Rahul Ravindra, producers Vidya Koppineedi, Dheeraj Mogilineni were present and many other directors - Sai Rajesh, Pavan Sadineni, Karuna Kumar graced the commencement.

Producer Allu Aravind clapped the board and presented the script of the film to Rahul Ravindran. The movie is a women centric film and Rashmika will be playing the female lead. The movie's principal photography will begin soon. Earlier, a promo was released which featured a girl who is suffocated under water while she thinks about her relationship.

The film's music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab. The movie's technical crew consists of cinematographer Krishnan Vasant. Actress Rashmika Mandanna, earlier speaking about the film said that the film is all about love stories that many haven't heard about or seen before. She explained that the movie will have a lot of new perspectives to love.

On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna is awaiting the release of her film Animal. She has a few more projects in the pipeline that include Rainbow, D 51. Pushpa 2. Meanwhile, director Rahul Ravindran is said to play an important role in Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram.
