Ravi Teja’s ‘BMW’ actress Ashika Ranganath opens up about 'age gap' in the industry on being paired with older stars: 'I look for versatility'
The “age gap” topic has been one of the most debated topics among the audience for a couple of years now. Recently, actress Ashika Ranganath, who is gearing up for her next film, ‘Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignapthi’, starring alongside Tollywood veteran Ravi Teja shared her take on it.
“In Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, my character is young and modern, while in Naa Saami Ranga with Nagarjuna garu, I played a more mature role. I look for versatility.”
She also added that the age of her co-star doesn’t influence her decision and said, “I focus on how well I fit the role and how convincingly I can portray the character. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a young hero’s film or a senior hero’s film. What matters to me is what my role contributes to the story,” she said.
The movie also stars Dimple Hayathi as another female lead in the film. During the event, she also shared her take backing Ashika Ranganath with similar thoughts. She shared how she looks for versatility in her work and does not see age difference as an issue. She also added that working with senior acor gives valuable opportunities to learn and grow.
The movie is expected to release during the festive Sankranti release window. Meanwhile, Ravi Teja's recent outing was 'Mass Jathara'.

Ashika Ranganath shares her perspective
According to a report by Gulte, during a press meet on Saturday, actor Ashika Ranganath was asked about her being frequently seen paired opposite older actors. The ‘Madhagaja’ actress shared that she approaches her work purely from an actor’s point of view. She mentioned how she focuses on playing versatile roles.“In Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, my character is young and modern, while in Naa Saami Ranga with Nagarjuna garu, I played a more mature role. I look for versatility.”
