RGV finds yet another way to promote 'Lakshmi's NTR' by playing an election joke on fans

seems to be trying anything and everything under his sun to promote his upcoming film ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ which releases this Friday.

The controversial director went ahead and even released a sensational comment stating that he will be contesting in elections against actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan from the

Bhimavaram

constituency in Andhra Pradesh. He even went ahead to claim that despite the last day to file the nominations for MLA in AP being closed, he got special permission from top to contest against Pawan Kalyan.

Agitating fans, he wrote, “I am contesting against @PawanKalyan in Bhimavaram Await DETAILS. In spite of nominations stopping I got special permission from the very top to contest against @PawanKalyan Await DETAILS ". (sic) A few hours later, after many called out on his bluff in the comments under the post, he clarified that it was an ‘advance April fool joke’ and wrote, “This is just an advance April Fool Joke ..I hope no one was stupid enough to believe it.” (sic)

With the buzz the film has created amongst the Telugu audience, ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ is observing a good number of collections with tickets being sold out at the overseas box office in Australia and US. The complete jukebox of the film too was released on Wednesday, comprising of a total of eight songs along with the highly noted Dagaa, Nee Uniki, Simha Garjana and Vijayam.
